Psalm 27:4-6 (NLT)
"The one thing I ask of the Lord—the thing I seek most—is to live in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, delighting in the Lord’s perfections and meditating in his Temple. For he will conceal me there when troubles come; he will hide me in his sanctuary. He will place me out of reach on a high rock. Then I will hold my head high above my enemies who surround me. At his sanctuary I will offer sacrifices with shouts of joy, singing and praising the Lord with music."

Worship (n.) def.

Worship is our response, both personal and corporate, to God, for who He is and what He has done  expressed solely in and by the things we say and the way we live.

Sunday Morning Services

Our goal on Sunday mornings is to use the time we have together as brothers and sisters in Christ to lead others to experience the presence of God, and to lift up and magnify His holy name. The sheer value of being able to humble ourselves and approach the Living God is one that is held in high esteem by each one of our lead worshipers. During our Sunday morning service, we as a ministry strive to do our best, but also want to make our time together all about the God who loved us enough to care for our every need, and who gave us the desire to play and sing. Our music ministry must not however completely devote itself to ministry, but to intimacy with the Father. For when ministry takes precedence over intimacy, our ministry will tend to draw others to us, rather than to Him. So it is then, when we sacrifice our time to be spent developing our relationship with the Living God, we realize that the Holy Spirit is the actual "worship leader", and to be a lead worshiper in His church is to be a humble example not just once a week, but every moment of our lives.

I hope and pray that as I direct the music of our services, I may remain humble in my service, and that I may desire, seek, and know the mind and heart of the Father, so that God may anoint our time together on Sunday morning and manifest His presence in the walls of North Glen Baptist Church.

Coffee Houses
The coffee house was designed to encourage and promote fellowship between churches and neighbors in the local area, using music and a social atmosphere to draw people in to enjoy chatting and catching up. Each month we offer a free coffee house on the 4th Friday, starting at 7pm, with all the free coffee you could want! There are open mic sessions, as well as a "featured performer" that takes the stage for about 45 minutes starting at 8pm.

"Worship is what we were created for. This is the final end of all existence-the worship of God. God created the universe so that it would display the worth of His glory. And He created us so that we would see this glory and reflect it by knowing and loving it-with all our heart and soul and mind and strength. The church needs to build a common vision of what worship is and what she is gathering to do on Sunday morning and scattering to do on Monday morning."     -John Piper

"We were created to worship.  That is why you and I are going to spend our lives declaring the worth of something.  As a result, we've got to make sure the thing we declare to be of greatness value is really worthy after all."     -Louie Giglio

"Paul said in 1 Corinthians 10:31 “So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.” Simply put, worship is not a church service, it is a life service. It is more than music, more than Sunday mornings, more than religious events. Worship is what we do, it is what we desire, and it is ultimately our destiny."
